Shaelyn Bangs

From a young age, Shaelyn developed a deep love for dance. Dance has given her the ability to express emotion, discipline, and creativity all at once. For Shaelyn, dance is more than just a hobby; it is a way to connect with her community and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

In addition to her dedication to dance, Shaelyn serves as the secretary of her local FFA chapter. Through FFA, she has gained responsibility, confidence, and a deep respect for the agricultural world. She especially enjoys showing goats and participating in public speaking contests, where she continues to refine her leadership skills.

Shaelyn also has a strong passion for public speaking and advocacy. Whether delivering a speech, leading a discussion, or visiting the state capitol to lobby for increased pediatric mental health access, she is confident with her voice and wants to make a positive difference in her community.

All of these passions come together through her involvement with the Miss America Opportunity. Competing in Miss Oregon’s Teen in 2025 and earning 1st Runner-Up was an incredible honor for Shaelyn.
