Fun Facts about Garland

Garland is a New York City based multidisciplinary performing artist. With a Bachelor of Music degree (Jazz Voice) from Montclair State University, the first decade of his professional career was predominantly vocalist focused. He has brought his vocal versatility, musicianship, and gripping presence to numerous stages at casinos and major luxury cruise lines across the globe. Interspersed between glitzy casino resorts & lavish life at sea, Garland performed regionally at theatre’s in productions of Dreamgirls (Little Albert/Ensemble), Hairspray (Stooie/Ensemble), & Godspell (Jesus).

After traveling to almost 50 different countries and gracing the stages at notable venues like Carnegie Hall & The Sydney Opera House, he wanted to further develop his artistry and was accepted to study at The Terry Knickerbocker Studio Conservatory in Brooklyn, New York. Since graduating the 2 year Meisner Conservatory Program in 2022, he’s returned to the stage in The Broadway National Tour of The Book of Mormon (Middala), and appeared Off-Broadway in David: A New Musical (Ensemble/u/s Achich).

From stage to camera, Garland has played the series regular role of TJ in Barely Friends and was featured in the short film, Cyclical. As an actor/model he has been featured in collaboration with iconic brands including Chase Sapphire Reserve, Amex/Resy, Keurig, Starbucks, Deep Eddy Vodka, Wholly Veggie and more.

In his free time, Garland is an absolute foodie that savors a bold espresso and is always exploring new bars and restaurants around the city. He loves being out in nature, and finds a good hike or just laying out in the park or on a beach revitalizing. Beyond that he appreciates cozy quality time with loved ones, a competitive game night, reading poetry or a play, and all things music.
